After spending hundreds of hours setting up, breaking down, and most of all enjoying tailgate parties on a grand scale we’ve decided to share our passion here. The hardworking staff at The Tailgate Show is dedicated to spending as much time as possible developing new products, finding new partners, and most importantly spreading the word about the great sport of Tailgating. We live to promote tailgating. Our philosophy is that anytime two or more people are outside for an event there’s an opportunity for a tailgate party if you have the right attitude, knowledge, and supplies. There’s really no need to wait for football season to get out and tailgate though we heartily agree that football tailgating is awesome. The most important thing is to have fun and remember ~
“The Best Times are Tailgating Times”
About Us :
Tailgating inventor and grilling sauce connoisseur Scott Salter has been tailgating for over 25 years and he’s been at the helm of the hottest brand in the industry since he founded Freedom Grill in 2002. He was in product development in the communications and consumer product industries for over fifteen years prior to turning his attention to his passion for tailgating. Scott’s line of grilling sauce, Fire Brand, has won both Fiery Foods Scovie Awards and National Barbeque Association Awards of Excellence for the bold flavors and spicy richness. His tailgating products can be seen in every stadium parking lot in the U.S. The man owns 6 grills and is always looking for more. And while there may be 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon, it only takes 2 degrees to connect nearly everyone you meet to Salter.
As the VP of Marketing for one of the biggest names in tailgating, chief writer for TailgatingTimes, and most recently, editorial manager for Tailgater Monthly Steve spends most of his time writing about tailgating, researching tailgating, or actually tailgating. When he’s not trying out new grills he’s using them to feed the crowd. That’s how he earned his Sweet G nickname, cooking the barbecue trifecta of pulled pork shoulder, beef brisket, and baby back ribs. He’s been featured on Food Network’s Tricked Out Tailgating and his personal tricked out tailgating truck, The Carnivore, has been featured on TV as well as at the SEMA Show several times. In 2008 Steve was a finalist in the Tostitos Beat My Tailgate Competition.
As long as fans keep gathering and entrepreneurs keep making products for them we’ll keep finding content and telling the world how to throw a better tailgate party. Because somebody’s got to do it.
